Joyce A. Hollingshead, 75, of Midland, died on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland.

            Joyce was born on April 27, 1937 in Midland to the late Robert J. and Catherine (McLaren) Stanford.  On July 14, 1956 Joyce married her sweetheart, Eugene R. Hollingshead in Midland.

            Joyce was a member of St. Brigid's of Kildare Parish.  She loved being a wife and mother and her family was number one in her life. Joyce enjoyed working in the medical field, volunteering, bowling, swimming and traveling.

            Joyce is survived by her husband Eugene; daughters, Brenda (Don) Carter of St. Charles, Ronda (Mike) Gary of Harrison; sons, Ken (Rosemary Edgar) of Leslie, John (Rhonda Austin) of Holt: 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Lorraine) Stanford of Midland, Jerry (Glenna) Stanford of Midland.

            Joyce was predeceased by her son Brian and his family, wife, Sally; children, Amanda, Tiffany and David; brothers Robert and Bruce and her best friend Eleanor Hollingshead.

             A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at St. Brigid's of Kildare in Midland, with Father Patrick O'Connor Celebrant.  The family will receive friends at Smith-Miner Funeral Home, 2700 W. Wackerly, on Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 4 pm until 6:30 pm.  and at the Church from 9:00 am until the time of the service.  A Vigil service will be held on Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm at the Funeral Home with Father Robert Maloy "Capaccun Priest"  officiating.
