Survived By: his wife Nancy of 37 years are his daughters and their spouses, Michele and Robert West of Bay City, Melinda and Thomas Summers of Gagetown; grandchildren, Luke West, Justin Summers; step-grandchildren, Andrea West and Ashley West; sisters and brother, Gail (Dale) Campbell, Jeri-Lou (Ronald) Poirier, Kim Stockenauer, Lisa (Ted) Gray and several nieces and nephews

Lee A. Stockenauer, 70, of Vassar and formerly of Lake City, died unexpectedly, Tuesday afternoon, February 5, 2013 at his home.  He was born on October 24, 1942 in Bay City, son of the late Jacob and June (Schlicht) Stockenauer.  He attended school in Vassar and graduated from Vassar High School in 1960.  After high school he went to work at Midwest Rotary in Caro and then moved to Lake City where he worked as the City Superintendent.  Lee was united in marriage to the former Nancy Jacobson on August 1, 1975.  He also owned and operated Lee’s Gun Shop and was a volunteer conservation officer.  His hobbies included raising horses at the Bar L Ranch, collecting guns, and he was an avid bird hunter.  He truly enjoyed his dogs and spending time at home with his family.  Surviving in addition to his wife Nancy of 37 years are his daughters and their spouses, Michele and Robert West of Bay City, Melinda and Thomas Summers of Gagetown; grandchildren, Luke West, Justin Summers; step-grandchildren, Andrea West and Ashley West; sisters and brother, Gail (Dale) Campbell, Jeri-Lou (Ronald) Poirier, Kim Stockenauer, Lisa (Ted) Gray and several nieces and nephews.  Cremation has taken place with a graveside committal service to take place at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 11, 2013 at the Brookside Cemetery in Fairgrove.  Pastor Tom Senge of Christ Lutheran Church in Reese will officiate.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Stockenauer family.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors, Reese.
