He was preceded in death by 2 sons Jack Karbowski and Gerry Karbowski
Affiliations: . Ben was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Linwood K of C and a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in WW II. He was the former owner and founder of Karbowski Oil from 1984 to 2012.

Mr. Karbowski 89 passed away Thursday February 7, 2013 at Sheffield Place following a lingering illness He was born in Arenac County on December 18, 1923 to the late Antony & Lena (Nowak) Karbowski. He married Betty Salgat on June 26, 1947 at St. Anne Catholic Church. She preceded him in death on August 9, 2008. Ben was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Linwood K of C and a veteran of the U. S. Navy serving in WW II. He was the former owner and founder of Karbowski Oil from 1984 to 2012.

He  is survived by  grand children Jeff & Maggie Karbowski and Karen (Chris Wendling) Karbowski; great granddaughter Lindsey Karbowski; 2 daughter in laws Mary Kay Karbowski and Shelly Karbowski; step granddaughter Holly & Jeff Schneider and 3 great step  grandchildren;    a brother Jack & Pat Karbowski; 2 sister in laws Mary Lou Karbowski and Inez Karbowski. He was preceded in death by 2 sons Jack Karbowski and Gerry Karbowski

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 11 am from St. Anne Catholic Church with Burial in St. Anne Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council and the U. S. Navy. Friends may call at Rivertown Funeral Chapel on Monday from 1 to 8 pm. A Vigil & K of C Bible presentation will be held at 7 pm Monday evening. On Tuesday Ben will lie in state at church from 10 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Anne Church.
