Rachel Ann Dixon
Bentley, Michigan
Mrs. Dixon, loving, wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away Friday February 8, 2013 at McLaren Medical Center following a lingering illness. She was born on September 20, 1943 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Herman & Grace (VanOchten) Badour. She married Alfred Dixon Sr. on July 10, 1961 in Munger, Michigan. Rachel enjoyed watching birds and the Detroit Tigers but most of all spending time with her family and grandchildren. Surviving besides her husband of 51 years are their children; Alfred-Corky (Kim) Dixon Jr., Sue (Russ) Youngs, and Tim (Lisa) Dixon, two sisters Gracie Saladine, and Sharon (Robert) Bauer, a brother in law David Benedict, grandchildren; Kayla(Justin) Workman, RJ (Jenna Bock) Youngs, Corey, Amber, Keara, Brandon, and Katana Dixon. She was predeceased by a daughter Charlene Dixon, a great grandson Reilly Matthew Barham, a sister Julia Benedict, and a brother in law Clifford Saladine.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday February 12, 2013 at 11 am from Pinconning United Methodist Church with Pastor John Tousciuk presiding with burial in Gibson Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 4 to 8 pm. On Tuesday from 10 am until time of service. The family would like to extend a heartfelt Thank You to Gladwin Pines and McLaren Regional ICU, CCU and Gladwin and Bay Metro Transit for the compassionate care Rachel and her family received.
