Virginia was preceded in death by her son Wayne Brasseur, two sisters and one brother , Louise Sims, Elaine Welsh and Kenneth Frey.

He predeceased her May 19, 1998. Virginia was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #4232 Ladies Auxiliary and past president of Knights of Columbus Council #593 Ladies Auxiliary.

 Loving mother and grandmother passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2013. Age 85 years. Daughter of the late Harry and Rose (Geiling)  Frey , Virginia was born March 16, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Donald H. Brasseur on September 6, 1947. He predeceased her May 19, 1998. Virginia was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council #4232 Ladies Auxiliary and past president of Knights of Columbus Council #593 Ladies Auxiliary.

 Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 6400 McCarty Rd. Saginaw. Rev. Fr. James Carlson will officiate with private entombment in Roselawn Memorial Mausoleum. Friends may call at the church where the family will be present on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John Vianney Catholic Church or Knights of Columbus Council #4232 Ladies Auxiliary.  Arrangements entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, Saginaw.
