Grayling, Michigan,
Former Saginaw Resident.
Loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Munson Hospital in Traverse City. Age 83 years. The daughter of the late John and Victoria (Usewicz) Kersheski, Delphine was born June 28, 1929 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Richard S. Nowaczyk on September 17, 1949. He predeceased her October 10, 1986. Delphine was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Grayling and former member of Our Lady Help of Christians in Saginaw. She was a Trustee on the Lovell Township Board, Secretary and Treasurer of the Study Club, volunteer at Kirkland College and member of Lovells Historical Society.
Surviving are two sons, Richard S. (Connette) Nowaczyk, Grayling; Thomas (Deborah) Nowaczyk, Fairplay, Colorado; grandchildren, Thomas (Kelly) Nowaczyk, Amanda Nowaczyk and Gregory Nowaczyk; a step-grandson, Avery Schneiderhan; a step-great grandson, Avery Schneiderhan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Delphine was preceded in death by her brother, John Kersheski.
Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2013 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty) . Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to American Heart Association.
