Timothy J. Burleson Jr. son of Timothy J. Burleson Sr., Janet Lynn Burleson and Marsha Ann Burleson passed away peacefully in his home on February 17, 2010 surrounded by his family after battling brain cancer.  He was born September 21, 1971 in Bay City.  Tim is survived by his wife Malissa and their two children Cody and Cassandra.  Also surviving Tim are his parents Timothy Sr. and Marsha Burleson, Pinconning; his parents-in-law Larry and Susan Wheelis, Lewiston; grandmothers Irene Burleson, Pinconning, and Elfreda Holmes, Ft. Myers, Fl.; sisters Monica (Burleson) Ross with her husband David Ross, Ft. Myers, Fl., and Kristine Burleson with Barry Hartfelder, Pinconning; brother Thomas Burleson with Angie Stomberski, Pinconning; sister-in-law Monica Wheelis with Tim Alexander, Lewiston; brother-in-law Mark Wheelis with Jessica Rogers; sixteen nieces and nephews; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.  Tim was predeceased by his mother Janet Burleson (Schanck); grandparents Ralph Burleson, Harry (fuzz) and June Schanck, Sid Holmes; his aunt Kathleen Schanck and his cousin Patricia Schanck.  Tim loved fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR.  He was always there with a helping hand whenever and wherever he was needed.  He will be remembered and loved by all for a long time to come.  Tim's family would like to thank the community for their thoughts, prayers and kindness during his struggle.  Visitation will be held on Friday at Lee-Ramsey Funeral Home from 10 a.m.  to 9 p.m.  A funeral mass will be held on Saturday February 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the Pinconning Wesleyan Church with Pastor Steve Packer officiating.  Tim will be laid to rest at St. Michael’s Cemetery beside his mother Janet.  In lieu of flowers, for those wishing to make a memorial contribution the family requests that they be made to The Tim Burleson Cancer Benefit Fund at Wildfire Credit Union in Midland, MI to benefit his children.  Contributions can also be made to the United Way, which has helped us tremendously during our time of need.
