DuBois, Danielle DuBois-MacKenzie, Derek J. DuBois, Devin C. DuBois, Taylor DuBois, Zachary DuBois, CJ. DuBois, Justin Colby, Ben Talon, Fred Talon Jr. and Yvonne Talon.: 3 great grand children; a brother William Colby; 2 sisters Martha VanRykenham and Besty Cook.
Affiliations: Jim was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, a former police officer for the Roseville and Pinconning Police Department also, served on Northern Bay Ambulance.

Mr. Colby 85 passed away Monday August 3, 2009 peacefully with his family at Medilodge of Sterling following a lingering illness. He was born in Erin Twp., Michigan on November 11, 1923 to the late George & Edna (Cummines) Colby. He married the former DeMarus (Dee) Truman on December 31, 1965 in Mt. Clements, Michigan. She survives him. Jim was a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Coast Guard, a former police officer for the Roseville and Pinconning Police Department also, served on Northern Bay Ambulance.

Jim enjoyed going to bingos, hunting and being with his family.

 

Surviving besides his wife is his children Irene (Trudy) Talon, Mark Joseph DuBois, James C. Colby, and Renee` Ann Colby; grand children Damon F. DuBois, Danielle DuBois-MacKenzie, Derek J. DuBois, Devin C. DuBois, Taylor DuBois, Zachary DuBois, CJ. DuBois, Justin Colby, Ben Talon, Fred Talon Jr. and Yvonne Talon.: 3 great grand children; a brother William Colby; 2 sisters Martha VanRykenham and Besty Cook. He was predeceased by a son Chuck DuBois, a brother George Colby and a sister Audrey Colby.

 

Funeral Services will be held Thursday August 6, 2009 at 7 pm from Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak presiding with inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 pm until time of services. Family requests in lieu of flowers memorials to family’s wishes.
