Young, Kathryn L. - of Montrose, age 76, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at MediLodge of Montrose. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Eddie Phillips officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or a charity of choice.

Kate was born June 13, 1933 in Burt, Michigan to the late Albert and Kathryn (Stevens) Huber. She married Joseph Young on September 20, 1952. He preceded her in death on January 28, 2004.

Surviving are: 4 children: Carolyn Young of Chesaning, Leona Young of New Lothrop, Debra (Mike) Brabrant of Burt and Joseph Young of Farwell. 6 grandchildren. 2 great grandchildren. Brothers and sisters: Ed (Jackie) Huber, Jack (Gloria) Huber, Hank Huber, Dale (Joan) Stevens, Regina (Gene) Sanders and Mary Maitland. Former daughter in law: Sheila Young. Kate was also preceded in death by 4 brothers: Dick, Don, Al and Bobby.
