Ouellette, Joseph Ernest, Jr., age 89 of Higgins Lake, formerly of Flint, died May 2, 2013 at his daughter’s home in Scottsdale, AZ.  Joseph was born June 13, 1923 in Flint to Joseph E. and Ruby C. (Dickenson) Ouellette.  He married Ruth E. Krotzer on June 10, 1950 in Flint.  Joseph was an accountant with General Motors for 33 years and retired from Fisher Body Coldwater Road in 1979.  He and Ruth moved to Higgins Lake in 1982.  Joseph was a Sergeant in the US Army during WW II serving in the South Pacific.  He was a member of American Legion Post # 151 in Flint, Am Vets Post # 13 at Higgins Lake, Charles M. Engel VFW Post # 4159 in Roscommon, 40 & 8 Voiture 1116 in Genesee County and K of C # 6593 Prince of Peace Council in Roscommon where he was also a member of the Immaculate Conception Assembly.  Joseph was an avid reader.  He is survived by his daughters, Nanette Meloy of Higgins Lake and Kristeen Ouellette and her husband Joseph Juillet of Scottsdale, AZ; grandchildren, Dawn and husband Aaron Edenburn of Burt and Jeffrey Prince of Davison and great grandchildren, Nicholas and Colin Edenburn and Marianne, Trevor, Cadence and Miranda Prince.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruth, his son-in-law, John Meloy and his brother, Robert Ouellette.  Visiting will be 2-8 PM Thursday, May 9th with a 7 PM Rosary at Walsh Funeral Home in Roscommon, and 10 AM Friday at St. Michael Catholic Church in Roscommon until Mass of the Resurrection at 11 AM.  Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Higgins Lake.
