Mrs. Long passed away Sunday morning March 7, 2010 at the Carriage House of Bay City.  Age 83 years.  She was born October 21, 1926 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life.   Rita enjoyed drawing, vacationing, playing cards and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by three sons and one daughter-in-law; Ronald and Diana Long of Bridgeport, Berry Long of Bay City and Randy Long of Essexville, three grandchildren; Jason Long of Bay City, Chris Rice of Glennie and Andrew and Amy Rice of Clawson, one great grandson; Hayden Rice, one great granddaughter Kira Rice both of Clawson and the family is expecting the third great grandchild;  two sisters and three brothers-in-law; Mary Lee and Herb Williams of Pinconning, Janet and Pat McCall of Fenton,  Junior Valley of Pinconning, one sister-in-law; Betty Worthing of Pinconning and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth  Long, her parents; Roy and Anna (Landis) Foco, one sister; Anna Belle Valley and three brothers; Jerry, Wayne  and Jerry Foco Jr..

Funeral and Committal Services will take place Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.201 W. Midland St. Bay City. Officiating will be her son and daughter-in-law; Ron and Diana Long with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial contributions will be available at the funeral home for The Carriage House of Bay City.
