Survived By: Surviving are four daughters; Sandra Davis, Jodie (James) Kazmierski, Linda (Daniel) Strzelecki and Susan (Kevin) Treadway, six grandchildren; Ryan (Kristin) Lothian, Bradley (Joy) Lothian, Amanda Trombley, Sara (Brad) Ervans, Brian (fiancé, Kristi) Strzelecki, and Rachel Treadway, five great grandchildren; Kailyn, Lauren, Mason, Tayte, and Tucker, one sister, Germaine Luptowski, and three sister in-laws; Bernadine Urbaniak, Patricia Urbaniak and Audrey (Jack) Dryer. Walter was predeceased by a son in-law, Curtis Davis and three brothers; Richard, William and Daniel Urbaniak.
Affiliations: He was a WWII veteran and served his country with the US Navy. Walter was a warehouse supervisor for several years with Lawrence Smith Distributors until he retired in 1990. He was a member of St. Hyacinth Church and an avid deer hunter, golfer and fisherman. Walter’s family made him very happy. He loved to spend time and share memories with them.

     Our beloved “PaPa”, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away peacefully in his sleep, Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at his residence, age 82.  He was born January 30, 1928 in Bay City to the late Walter A. and Veronica (Murawski) Urbaniak, Sr.  Walter married Reta M. Bladecki on July 1, 1950 and she predeceased him on August 22, 1989.  He was a WWII veteran and served his country with the US Navy.  Walter was a warehouse supervisor for several years with Lawrence Smith Distributors until he retired in 1990.  He was a member of St. Hyacinth Church and an avid deer hunter, golfer and fisherman.  Walter’s family made him very happy.  He loved to spend time and share memories with them.

     The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10:00am at St. Hyacinth Church.  Fr. Edward J. Konieczka will celebrate Mass and interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery, under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council.  Friends may call at the Ambrose Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00pm and at church on Saturday after 9:00am.  A Parish Vigil Service for Walter will be held Friday at 7:00pm at the funeral home.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Hyacinth Church.
