Mr. Taylor, passed away March 6, 2010 at his son’s home with family at his side.  He was born June 3, 1921 to the late Earl & Vida (Thorn) Taylor.  Dennis proudly served as a Marine in WWII; Pacific Front.  He and his wife (Grace N. Watkins) were long-time residents of Bay City, until their permanent move to Zephyrhills, FL in the 1990’s.  Dennis was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years on Feb 25, 2010.  In keeping with Dennis & Grace’s wishes, their ashes will be commingled and interred together at a later date.  Surviving are 2 children Shirley (Wayne) Gage and  Charles Taylor & special friend Nancy Schwartz; 1 sister Phyllis Taylor, 2 grandchildren and their spouses, 3 step grandchildren and their spouses, 2 great grand children and 9 step great grandchildren.  A memorial service for both Dennis & Grace will be held on March 27, 2010 at 11 am from the First Baptist Church in Essexville, MI.  Friends may call from 10 am until time of service.  Dennis requested memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his wife’s name.
