William E. Wheeler of Flint, age 82, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at his home. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Rossell Funeral Home, Rev. Robert Daughenbaugh and Jeff Kuszmaul will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Avalon Hospice.
Bill was born September 2, 1927 in Mundy Twp., MI, the son of William Henry and Lois Marie (King) Wheeler. He married Roseann M. Savalli in Flint on June 11, 1949.
Bill was a retired Fork Truck Driver, having worked at Buick for 46 years. He was a member of Cornerstone Community Church-Free Methodist in Flushing. With his son, Ron, they built stage-sets and props for Clio Cast and Crew and Sandra Brewer Dance Studio of Davison.
Bill is survived by: wife, Rose; son, Ron Wheeler and fiancée, Maria Garza of Swartz Creek; granddaughter, Jennifer and husband Anthony Barnhart of Marshall; great-granddaughter, Elliot; brothers, Harold and Clare Wheeler of Davison; sister, Marge Ostrom of FL; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Lorraine; brothers, Max, Dale, and Herb; sisters, Ruth and Agnes.
