Ron died unexpectedly Sunday evening March 14, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical

Center, age 67 years. He was born the son of the late John and Margaret (Lederer)

Schlicker November 13, 1942 in Bay City and had resided in this area all his life.

He worked for Medler Electric and farmed, was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church (Monitor), enjoyed polka music, his grandchildren, coaching girls softball and the Detroit Tigers. On August 23, 1991 he married Kathleen M. Dack, she predeceased him in Dec-

ember 2006. He is survived by 2 children; Marty (Kim) Ayers, Linwood, Jennifer (Jam-

ison) Gould, Bay City, 4 grandchildren; David, Patrick, Jadyn and Keian, 2 sisters and 1

brother; Kathy (Jim) Gunther,  Margo (Ron) Kohn all of Freeland, Lyle Schlicker, Sag-

inaw, 4 nieces and nephews; Pari, Christopher, Angie and John,4 great nephews and 3

great nieces.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday March 18, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran

Church (Salzburg & 8 Mile Rds.) Monitor. Rev. David F. Sherry will officiate with burial

to follow in St. Anthony Cemetery (Fisherville). Ron’s family will receive friends at the

Auburn Chapel of the Cunningham-Taylor Funeral Homes, Inc. (662-4711) on Wednes-

day from 2:00-8:00 p.m. On Thursday morning, Ron will lie in state at the church from

10:00 a.m. until time of service. In Lieu of flowers, envelopes for Trinity Lutheran Church

“A time to build” and the American Heart Association will be available at the funeral home.
