Survived By: Surviving besides her husband Arthur are one son, one daughter and their spouses, Garry A. and Debbra Edlund, Carrollton; Krista Edlund-Rose and her husband Glenn, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; two granddaughters, Emily Edlund and Angelica Garza; several nieces and nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by three sisters, Vera Sloan, Virginia Mansfield and Ladonna Brandt.
Affiliations: Barbara graduated from Ashland College and earned her Masters Degree from Central Michigan University. She taught at the Career Opportunities Center for over 30 years until her retirement in June of 1998. Barbara was a member of Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with family and friends.

 Beloved wife and mother passed away Sunday, April 18, 2010 at her home. Age 71 years. The daughter of the late Ray and Roxie (Wentz) Kauffman, Barbara was born June 13, 1938 in Ashland, Ohio. She married Arthur Edlund, her loving husband of 50 years, November 26, 1959 in Ashland, Ohio. He survives her. Barbara graduated from Ashland College and earned her Masters Degree from Central Michigan University. She taught at the Career Opportunities Center for over 30 years until her retirement in June of 1998. Barbara was a member of Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with family and friends.

 Barbara’s family extends their thanks and appreciation to the staff at Covenant HealthCare and to Dr. Natole, the Visiting Nurses and Hospice for the compassionate care they provided.

 Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty). Rev. Randy Owen will officiate with interment in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Parkinson’s Foundation or Saginaw Valley Church of the Nazarene.
