Munger, Michigan 

     Age 78 years, died Monday, April 26, 2010 in Brian’s House.  She was born to the late Edward and Florence (Barcia) Gast on August 16, 1931 in Bay County.  Lois was a member of St. Norbert Church and its Altar Society.  She enjoyed the three “c’s”- crocheting, cards, and casinos. 

     On May 5, 1951 she married William Jacobs and he survives her along with their nine children: Dale (Beth) Jacobs, Dan (Leeann) Jacobs, Doug (Linda) Jacobs, Mary Jo (Robert) Bergevin, Sally (Dave) Clements, Dave (Sheryl) Jacobs, John (Kim) Jacobs, Jim Jacobs, and William (Kayeleen) Jacobs; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law: Joanie Gast; and her aunt, Hulda Gast.

     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne Marie; her brother, Bob Gast; and her uncle, Sam Gast.

     The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, April 30, 2010 at 10:00 AM in St. Norbert Church, Munger.  Lois will lie in state in church Friday after 9:00 AM.  Rev. William J. Gruden and Rev. Joseph Schabel will concelebrate and interment will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Norbert Church or Brian’s House.  Visiting hours are Thursday 2:00 to 9:00 PM, with the Vigil Prayer Service at 7:00 PM, at the W. A. Trahan Funeral Chapel.
