PERSONS, Virginia E. (Hill) – of Montrose, age 95, died Friday, May 14, 2010 at Concerned Country Care. Funeral services will be 11 AM Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Rev. Paul Brashaw officiating. Burial will be at Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-8 PM and Monday from 11-8 PM. Contributions may be made to the Francis Persons Scholarship Fund.

Virginia was born August 11, 1914 in 6 Mile Creek, Shiawassee County to the late Arthur and Nevada (Baughman) Hill and was a resident of Montrose since 1950.  She married David Persons in 1934. She then married Cloyd “Shorty” Persons in 1949. He preceded her in death in 1993. Mrs. Persons had been a bus driver for New Lothrop Schools for 14 years. She attended the New Lothrop Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Max (Nancy) Persons of Montrose, Rex (Marie) Persons, of Dunellon, FL; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
