Survived By: Survivors include his wife Alyce of Elsie, daughter Rebecca and Earl Robinson of England, step daughter Tammy and Brian Forman of Lansing, step son Todd and Michelle Bashore of Elsie, grandchildren; Alysin, Brandon, Haley, Mikayla, and 3 sisters. He was predeceased by his parents, and stepson, Scott in 2008.
Affiliations: He was a member of the Elsie Dairy Festival for a number of years, Elsie Library Board, and former member of the Elsie Village Council, and was a member of the East Washington United Brethren Church in Ashley. Larry served his country in the U.S. Army.

     Larry was born in Dayton, Ohio on November 30, 1942, the son of James and Mary (Vale) Howland. In his early years he lived in many cities and settled around Elsie in the late seventies. He was a well traveled pastor and bible teacher.  He also began Trinity Fellowship and the Sonshine Church of Ovid. Larry's love of poetry began in the nineties and he has written hundreds of poems. Some have been changed into songs, and the love of performing took him to churches, schools, nursing homes and civic clubs.  On January 24, 1981 he married Alyce in Bannister, Michigan and moved to Elsie a few years ago. They created the Parsons Pen business to promote his writing, and his beautiful words truly made the world a better place. The love of God, family and our world was shown in his writings.
