The flow of tears run heavy on Earth as the doors of Heaven opened for Martha Rosalyn Loree, 80, of Hope, Michigan, who passed away after a lengthy illness. She was born in Flushing, Michigan on July 28, 1935, to Jessie James & Florence (Ardill) Whitney. After moving to Gaylord, Michigan, she met her childhood sweetheart and future husband Vernon Loree Sr. They were married in Flint, Michigan, in 1951, and since resided in Hope. She was a homemaker and a partner with her husband at K-Hardware for 25 years. Martha is survived by her daughter: Lynn (Mick) Broka; 2 sons: Vernon Loree Jr.; Raymond (Patricia Gnotek) Loree; 1 granddaughter: Amber (Dwayne) Valley; 2 great grandchildren: Payton, & Regan Valley all of Hope. She also leaves behind her siblings: Ernie (Anita) Whitney; Hazel (Marvin) Grant; Carrie (Bill) Hoover; Vern (Peg) Whitney; Christina (Richard) Scope; Vera Herrington; & Sandy Whitney; brother-in-law: Lorne (Nellie) Loree. She is preceded in death by her husband: Vernon Loree Sr.; parents: Jessie & Florence Whitney; Vernon’s parents: George & Anna Loree; siblings: Alan & Alice Craig; Joyce Smith; Betty Whitney; Clayton Whitney; Raymond Whitney; Stewart Whitney. Funeral Services will be conducted by Pastor Charles Drudge & Pastor Craig Loree on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at the Community of Christ Church, Gladwin, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 17, 2015, from 5-9:00 P.M. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home, Gladwin, Michigan and Tuesday, August 18, 2015, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the church.
