Survived By: Surviving family include his loving wife of 39 years, Donna; daughter, Marlene (John) Bergen; grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Gilles, John (Ashlee) Bergen and William Bergen; great-grandchildren, Riley and Logan Gilles, his brothers, John D. (Adelle) Johnson and Randolph (Louise) Johnson as well as many nieces and nephews.
Affiliations: He retired from IBEW Local 692 in 1995 after working as an electrician most of his life. Jim was a life member of the MSGR Eugene A. Forbes Knights of Columbus Council 3590 and a member of St. Anthony / St. Joseph Parish.

James L. Johnson, age 79 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Toni & Trish House in Auburn.  He was born on November 12, 1930 in Aynor, South Carolina the son of the late Odell and Lula (Graham) Johnson.  Jim married Donna (Krauss) McDonald on July 9, 1971 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Midland. He retired from IBEW Local 692 in 1995 after working as an electrician most of his life. Jim was a life member of the MSGR Eugene A. Forbes Knights of Columbus Council 3590 and a member of St. Anthony / St. Joseph Parish.  Jim enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time outdoors at his cottage up north.

 Surviving family include his loving wife of 39 years, Donna; daughter, Marlene (John) Bergen; grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Gilles, John (Ashlee) Bergen and William Bergen; great-grandchildren, Riley and Logan Gilles, his brothers, John D. (Adelle) Johnson and Randolph (Louise) Johnson as well as many nieces and nephews. 

 The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2010 at St. Joseph Parish in Auburn.  The Rev. Fr. Thomas E. Sutton presiding.  The Rite of Committal will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin.  The family will greet friends on Sunday from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Penzien-Steele Funeral Home.  A vigil for the deceased will be at 7:00 p.m. Jim will lie in-state at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Toni & Trish House.
