Mrs. Dubay 89 passed away Saturday June 19, 2010 at Brittney Manor in Midland following a lingering illness. She was born in Garfield Twp. on December 10, 1920 to the late George & Anna (Krueger) Grappin. She married Eugene Dubay on April 17, 1937 in St. Anne Church, Linwood. He preceded her in death on September 5, 2009. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church, St. Anne Society, and League of Catholic Men & Women. She taught crafts in many of the area schools and made many keepsakes for the community.

She is survived by her children Eugene Jr. & Carolyn Dubay, Patrick & Donna Dubay, Wayne & friend Linda Dubay, Linda & Mic Tudethout, Sherwood (Woody) & Laurie Dubay, Denise & Charles Boyer 36 grand children, 50 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren; Doris (Henry Charbonneau) VanDerBrink, George & Vivian Grappin, Charles & Lorna Grappin and a sister in law Shirley Grappin and Marilyn Grappin. She was predeceased by 2 sons Richard, Gordon; 3 brothers James, Del & Bernard; 2 sisters Clara & Anna; a brother in law Albert VanDer Brink, and Darold DeLong.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday June 23, 2010 at 11 am from St. Michael’s Church with Rev. Fr. Chester Pilarski presiding with burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1 to 8 pm. A vigil service will be held at 7:30 pm on Tuesday. On Wednesday Mrs. Dubay will lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Heartland Hospice, St. Michael’s Church or Northern Bay Ambulance.
