Ruth Arlene (Gibson) (Bissell) Wyskowski, born July 23, 1926, passed away on June 22, 2010 at her home.  Ruth had fond memories of growing up on her Grandfather, Charles Chaplin’s farm in Watertown Township and was dedicated to family, friends and teaching.  She attended a rural school, St. Johns High School, and then Michigan Agricultural College. The daughter of a teacher, Doris (Chaplin) Bissell, Ruth went on to a 32 year teaching career, most of it at Sheridan Road School where she touched many young lives, and as an alumnus, she was a loyal MSU supporter.  She took great pleasure in the pursuit of family history and was the keeper of family stories and heirlooms.  She lovingly created many beautiful quilts and was an active member of Wacousta Community United Methodist Church and member of the DeWitt-Wacousta Chapter #133 O.E.S.

She was preceded in death by her first husband Dale Lee Bissell and mother and father, Doris L. (Chaplin) Bissell and Ray Gibson.  Survivors include her husband Cassimir Wyskowski; her children, Marsha Lou Dollarhite (Todd) and Charles L. Bissell (Florence);  Stepsons, Robert  (Carol) and Victor Wyskowski; Grandchildren: Amy, Nathan, Charles, Todd II, Sandra, Angela, Andy, Joshua, Lindsay, Heather and Paul; Great Grandchildren: Autumn, Ricky, Kayleigh, Tyler, Mychael, David, Makayla, and Branden; Brothers, Larry Bissell (Norma) and Jack Gibson; many nieces and nephews.  She will be missed by many dear friends in Michigan and Winter Haven, Florida, her winter home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 26, 2010 – 11:00 A.M. at the Wacousta Community United Methodist Church, 9180 Herbison Road, Eagle, MI  48822, with Rev. Lyle Heaton officiating.  Interment will follow at Wacousta Cemetery, Watertown Twp., Clinton County.  The family will receive friends Thursday 6-8 P.M. and Friday 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. at the Peters & Murray Funeral Home, Grand Ledge.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Wacousta Community United Methodist Church or Hospice of Lansing.  Online condolences may be made at www.petersandmurrayfuneralhome.com.
