Family hour will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at Browne's Mortuary, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., with the funeral commencing at 12:00 Noon. Elder Mel A. Pryor will officiate with interment in Dawn Memorial Cemetery in Lapeer, MI. There will be no visitation.
Our beloved sister, aunt and dear friend, departed this life on Thursday, June 17, 2010. Linda Jones was born to the union of Feadow and Mary Jones on October 9, 1947 in Saginaw, MI.  She was educated in the Saginaw Public Schools and graduated from Western Michigan University.  She was a dedicated Social Worker at DSS for over 20 years.  She was a member of Victorious Believers Ministries, an A.K.A. Sorority Sister and an Easter Seals Volunteer.
 
She married Ernest J. Smith of Lapeer, MI. She leaves to cherish her memory, one sister, Joanne (Eugene) Price, Palm Coast, FL; brother-in-law, Thomas Anderson; sister-in-law, Margaret (Norman) Miller; aunt, Anna Darnell; "aunt" Marguerite Covington; nieces, Carla Price, Shawn Anderson, and Briana Jones; nephews, Steven Price, Brian Jones, Eric Jones, and Damon Anderson; "nephew" Adrian Stinson; and many great-nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
 
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Feadow Jones, Jr. and sisters, Denise Jones and Cynthia (Jones) Anderson.
