Birch Run, Michigan

     Passed away Monday, June 28, 2010, at his home.  Age 73 years.

     The son of the late Henry and Irene (Roenicke) Kohlhoff was born June 2, 1937 in Saginaw, Michigan.  He married Shirley Dirgos, March 14, 1957. She predeceased him.  He graduated from General Motors Institute (Kettering University) and was employed by General Motors as an Engineer.  He also owned Baker Auto Parts and was employed by State Farm Insurance.  He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Birch Run.  He enjoyed restoring his 1950 Ford pick up truck.

     Surviving are two daughters, one son and their spouses, Brenda (Jim) Ostrom, Birch Run, MI;

Brian J. (Leslie) Kohlhoff, Freeland, MI; Barbara (Jack) Birdsall, Birch Run, MI; seven grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; two brothers and their wives, Leo (Margaret) Kohlhoff; Norman(Jere) Kohlhoff, all of Prescott, MI; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a grandson, William Kohlhoff, and a brother, Delano Kohlhoff.

      The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010, at Christ Lutheran Church, 8101 Poellet Rd. Birch Run.  Rev. Richard P. Hillenbrand will officiate with burial in Birch Run Twp Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel 5700 Dixie Hwy.  from
