Lillian passed away at her home on Monday January 2, 2017 with her family and friends at her side. She was born August 30, 1930 the oldest daughter of Alford & Sophia (Sequin) Day. She married Gordon (Bob) Moore on March 11, 1950 in her parent’s living room in Crump. He survives her. She and Bob had 66 years together traveled a lot seeing Europe, Jamaica, Hawaii, several other countries and states. Lilly was very talented and gifted in many ways. She was an amazing cook & baker. A very caring, sharing and kind woman. Always thought of others first. She was a wonderful teacher for 35 years. Lillian will be remembered for the over 2000 various cookies she made for family and friends at Christmas time for many years. Bob and Lilian were never blessed with children of their own, but their nieces and nephews held a very special place in her heart, they always put a smile on her face. Lillian was a lifelong member of the Garfield United Methodist Church and held many positions over the years

Lillian is survived by 4 brothers Chuck & Florence Day of Burton, Leroy & Sandy Day of Crump, Cal & Janet Day and Lyle & Judy Day of Standish; 2 sisters Ila Williams of Crump and Gene Behling of Midland and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Mike Day.

Funeral Services will be held Friday January 6, 2017 at 11 am from the Rivertown Funeral Chapel with Rev Jon Gougeon presiding with burial in Garfield Township Cemetery. Family will be present at the funeral home on Thursday from 2 to 8 pm and Friday 10 am until time of services. Those wishing an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Garfield United Methodist Church or the family’s wishes.
