Mrs. Simpson age, 62 passed away on July 9, 2010 at Brian’s House following a lingering illness.  She was born on May 23, 1948 in Bay City, Michigan to Edison & Mary (Castillo) Andrews.  Kathereen attended St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church and she enjoyed sewing and working with crafts.  She married Robert Simpson II.  He survives her.  Surviving besides her husband is her children LaRonda Thorne, and Gabriel (Nichole) Thorne, grandchildren; Amarion Bey, Sabastian Bey, Faith Hunter, Garrett Whited, Jarid Whited, Kalie Whited, and Jacob Thorne, and two great grandchildren Michael Deihl and Mkayla Deihl, her mother Mary A. Andrews & (Oza Brown), a brother Robert (Renee) Andrews.  She was predeceased by her father Edison Andrews, a son Robert (Tuda) Simpson III, and a sister Marilyn Andrews.

A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday July 17, 2010 at 1 pm from the Rivertown Funeral Chapel.  Sister Virginia Scally SNDdeN will officiate over the memorial service.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 am until time of service.
