Catherine Ann Blake, of Tawas City, formerly of Saginaw, passed away on Sunday July 11, 2010 at Saginaw St. Mary’s Hospital, age 55.  Catherine was born on May 11, 1955 in Saginaw to Floyd F. and Marie M. (nee Kushner) Kraszewski.  She graduated from St. Peter and Paul High School  in Saginaw in 1973.  Just after high school graduation, she went to work for At&T in Saginaw where she worked as an Information Operator.  Catherine was also the Vice President of the Communications Workers Association (C.W.A.) Local #4108.  She remained employed through AT&T for 30 years, retiring in 2002.  Among her many interests in lfe, Catherine truly loved her flower gardening, fishing, traveling, and watching the Detroit Red Wings.  She was an active member of the Tawas FOE Eagles #2855 and the Tawas Moose Lodge #2400.  Catherine is survived by her mother, Marie M. Kraszewski of East Tawas, father Floyd F. Kraszewski,  her husband Larry, to whom she married on February 27, 1997; three children, Danielle Medina of Saginaw, Raymond Brady of Saginaw, and Trevor Pierson of Whittemore-Prescott; 5 grandchildren, Madison, Michael, Raymond, Allison, and Evan; 1 brother, Mark (Kimberle) Kraszewski of Cadillac; 2 nephews, Brandon and Christopher Kraszewski; many aunts, uncles, several cousins, and her beloved pet Dachshund dog, Sasha.  She is preceded in death by a young brother, Ricky; and her Grandma Bird and Grandma Kushner.  Her funeral services will be on Thursday July 15, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Buresh and Kobs Funeral Home in Tawas City.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM with a scripture service being prayed at 7:00 PM.  Per her wishes, cremation will take place after the funeral.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Huron Hockey Association.  An on line guest registry is available at www.bureshfuneralhomes.com.  Funeral arrangements were handled by the Buresh and Kobs Funeral Home in Tawas City.
