Hemlock, Michigan

          Loving husband, father and grandfather passed away on Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at his home.  Age 71 years. 

          The son of the late Virginia (LaShance) and Emery Thomas was born on June 22, 1939.  He married Ruth Ann Princinsky on September 28, 1963, she survives him.  He served in the U.S. Air Force.  Robert retired from Saginaw Steering Gear as paymaster after 33 years of service.  He was past president of the Hemlock Lions Club.  He enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters and time at his cabin on Long Lake, in Hale.

          Surviving besides his wife of 47 years is his daughter and son-in-law, Christine Joann (Dion) Leitz, granddaughters, Hannah and Madison Leitz, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Joseph Princinsky, sisters-in-law Mary Princinsky, Kathy Kricher, his mother and father-in-law, Teresa and Joseph Princinsky.

          Family will be receiving visitors from 5:00-9:00p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at W.L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Rd.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Lions Club: Leader dogs for the blind  fund.  www.casefuneralhome.com
