Mr. Orlang 76 passed away Sunday July 25, 2010 following a brief illness. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on July 16, 1934 to the late Edward & Josephine (Kula) Orlang.

He married the former Rosemary Manszewski on July 14, 1956 in Omer, Michigan, she survives him, He was a veteran on the U. S. Army serving in the Korean war in Company E 87th Infantry. Norman was active in his community serving on the Mt. Forest Township Board, & as Constable, Bay County Sheriff Department as a Special Deputy, was a charter member of the Mt. Forest Fire Department and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Surviving besides his wife of 54 year are his 2 daughters Cheryl Moon and Denise & Charles Sobieray; 3 grand children Shannon & Bret Witt, Aaron Moon and April Stanolis; a sister Nola Gasiciel. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Wilfred & Donald Orlang.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday July 29, 2010 at 11 am from St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Richard Jozwiak presiding with burial in St. Mary’s Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Military graveside services under the auspices of the American Legion Post 104, the Standish VFW post 3724 and the Army National Guard. Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1 to 8 pm. A Vigil Service will be held at 7 pm Wednesday evening.  On Thursday Mr. Orlang will lie in state from 10 am until time of services.
