Dolores T. Lipinski, 85, of Caseville, died Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Home Sweet Home Retirement Home in Pigeon after a long illness.

Dolores was born April 24, 1925 in Detroit to the late Frank and Marie (Andrzejewski) Zmich. She graduated from St. Bernard High School, Detroit in 1943. She married Arthur P. Lipinski on November 11, 1944 at Barksdale Field in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Together they settled in Warren and raised their family. In 1985 they retired to their lake home in Lake Twp which had been built by Dolores’ family in the 1940's. She was an active member of St. Roch Catholic Church and sang in the choir. She was an excellent homemaker and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She is survived by her husband Arthur; children Paul of Royal Oak, Richard (Diane) of Sterling Heights, David (Debi) of California, Thomas (Paula) of Dryden and Karen (Al) Thornton of Warren; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister Ann Sarcheck-Beach.

A funeral mass will be at 11:00 am Saturday, July 31st at St. Roch Catholic Church with Rev. Robert Pare presiding. Burial will be in St. Roch Cemetery, Caseville.

Visitation will be 2-8 pm Friday at the Champagne Funeral Chapel of Caseville. She will lie in-state one hour prior to the mass on Saturday at church. There will be a scripture service at 7:30 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to St. Roch Catholic Church.
