Pastor Andrew (Andy) Mead, age 58, of Mayville, MI passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Covenant Cooper Health Care, Saginaw, MI surrounded by his loving family.

 

He was born January 22, 1959 in Marlette, MI son of Keith and Anna May (Kilmer) Mead. Andy graduated from Mayville High School with the class of 1977. He married Lori Barnard May 18, 1979 at People's Baptist Church, Columbiaville, MI. He was employed at Republic for 20 years and the Minister of Marlette Baptist Church for the past year. Andy loved spending time with family and friends, preaching the word, his church family, cutting wood, golf, snowmobiling, roller coasters, making cinnamon rolls, pies and bread.

 

Andy is survived by his wife, Lori Mead of Mayville; five children, Dan (Rebecca) Mead of Burton, Shari Mead, Aaron Mead, Lorin Mead and Brian Mead of Mayville; one brother, David (Michelle) Mead of North Branch; one sister, Mary Kay (David) Sanders of Mayville; two grandchildren, Samantha and Abigail Mead; many nieces and nephews; and one brother-in-law Donald Vaughn of Oklahoma.

 

He was preceded in death by his sister, Fay Ann Vaughn; father-in-law, Ronald Barnard; mother-in-law, Dorothy (Hocum) Barnard; sister-in-law, Wendi Hollister; and nephew, Corey Sanders.

 

Funeral services will be held at 12 NOON on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Marlette Baptist Church in Marlette, MI with Pastors Joshua Mead and Mark Wheatley officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of service.

 

Internment will take place at East Dayton Cemetery.
