Husen, Lawrence H. “Tony” Jr.

Bridgeport, Michigan

            Passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Covenant Healthcare, age 71 years.

            Tony was born in Saginaw, Michigan March 14, 1939 the son of the late Laurence H, Sr. and Theda (Curtis) Burrill.  He married JoAnne Braman December 13, 1975.  She predeceased him January 13, 2005.  Tony worked for Grey Iron Foundry for 30 years, retiring in 1991.  He enjoyed fishing in his time off.  Tony was a “people person”.  He loved to go to rummage sales just so he could visit with folks.  He loved raising pigeons and  was a member of the Frankenmuth Pigeon Club.

            He is survived by three children, Tim Husen, Michelle (Dan) Swanson and Lisa Husen; a step-son, Bruce (Connie) Shew; three step-daughters; 12 grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Carol) Husen; a sister, Pauline Burrill; a brother-in-law, Larry Raymond  and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to his wife, Tony was predeceased by a daughter, Lynn Marie Husen; his sister, Agnes Raymond; a sister-in-law, Jean Husen and a brother-in-law, Richard Burrill.

            The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010 at W. L. Case & Company, 5700 Dixie Highway.  Rev. Larry Sheppherd will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.   Friends may visit with the family at the chapel on Friday from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.and 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
