Richard Ronald Reno “Ron” of Kawkawlin , age 83, was granted his angel wings on Friday, October 6, 2017. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Ron had touched in so many ways. Ron was born May 13, 1934 to the late Frank and Pearl Reno. Ron enjoyed life to the fullest. There wasn’t one place that he went that no one was affected by his infectious and bigger than life personality. He couldn’t be more proud when telling his stories that involved his family and his time that he honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. Ron retired from Bay City Chevrolet Plant in 1984 after 30 years of service. After retirement, Ron went on to work at Stapish Funeral Home and then earned his “PhD” (Professional Hearse Driver) while he was employed at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home for over 20 years. Ron also retired. as Deputy Chief, from the Kawkawlin Township Fire Department, which he served over 30 years.

Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife Grace “Fay” and two children Rich (Linda) Reno and Debbie (Tony) Lupo. He was at his happiest when surrounded by his pride and joy, his grandchildren Jeff Reno, Greg (Angie) Reno, Amy Jammer and special friend Paul Wisneski, Michelle (Shane) Couturier, Tiffany (Anthony) Trevino, and Casey Lupo. Great-Grandchildren Chelse Jammer, Katie Jammer-McKee, Scott Reno, Sara Reno, Ellianah Trevino and Connor Couturier. Ron is also survived by Grace’s children and a special grandson Ryan Cooley, and many nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his brothers Floyd, Francis, Gordon, Archie, Laverne and sisters Opal, Jean, Irene, Louise and Hazel.

The support and words of wisdom will be forever cherished by his childern and grand-childern. He was truly an amazing son, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend that one could of ever dream and be blessed to know.

Special thanks to the Southern Care Hospice for their caring support especially Eric, Gwin and Andrea, Dave Ramsay for his astounding friendship and caring director and Ron’s second family Skip and crew at the Linwood Hotel.
