Edward Reinbold Jr., 85, of Reese died unexpectedly, Friday, August 6, 2010 at his home. He was born October 23, 1924 in Reese, son of the late Edward and Helena Reinbold Sr. He attended the Trinity Lutheran School and was a 1942 graduate of Reese High School. On August 23, 1952 he married the former Betty Ann Bragenzer in New Boston. Ed was employed by the Reese Co-Op Elevator as a Mill Operator until his retirement. He was a life-long member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Reese, served as an Elder and Usher, and was a member of its Men’s Club. He served the Reese community as a firefighter with the Reese Fire Department and later when on hold the rank of Assistant Chief. His enjoyments included hunting, gardening and watching and feeding the birds in his back yard.
Surviving besides his wife Betty are his Children and their spouses, Thomas Kurt and Sandra Reinbold of Reese; Karen Sue and Thomas Garrison of Gresham, Oregon; and Jean Marie Reinbold of Canton; four grandchildren, Luke Garrison, Sara Garrison, Kristin Reinbold and Courtney Reinbold, his sister-in-law, Lois Wylie and her husband John of Frankenmuth and several nieces and nephews.. In addition to his parents, Ed was predeceased by his sisters, Gladys Schnell, Hilda Vanek, Lillian O’Connor and his brother, Ervin Reinbold.
Funeral Services will take place 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from the Trinity Lutheran Church in Reese. Rev. Robert H. Bennett and Vicar John Henry will both officiate with graveside committal to follow in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Ed’s family will receive friends at the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Home, 9940 Saginaw St. in Reese on Monday from 4-8 p.m. and at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Trinity Lutheran Church or Reese Fire Rescue.
