WOJTOWICZ, Joseph F. – of Montrose, age 89, died Monday, August 09, 2010 at his residence. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10AM Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 400 N. Saginaw St., Montrose. Rev. Fr. Michael O’Brien officiating. Interment to follow in Montrose Township Cemetery. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Friday from 10AM-9PM with a 7PM Rosary. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

Joe was born on March 20, 1921 in Flint, Michigan to the late Kazmier and Mary Ann (Gorski) Wojtowicz. He lived in Montrose for 38 years. Joe married Patricia Nielsen on December 20, 1969. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Joe enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, watching his grandchildren play sports and watching the Detroit Tigers with his grandchildren. He was very proud of his Polish heritage. Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Joe is survived by: wife, Patty; children, Julie (Roy) Renner of Montrose, Denny Weber of Florida, Aleicia (Mark) Gunther of Flint; grandchildren, Tyler and Jahred Renner; Michael, Christopher, Maralena, Justin and Kacie Weber; Jake and Josh Gunther.
