Eva 'Katherine' Jacoby, age 97 years of Unionville, passed away Friday morning, August 20, 2010. She was born in Colorado on February 28, 1913, a daughter of John, Sr. and Eva (Stromburger) Jacoby.

Katherine was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Unionville. She had been employed in the parts department at Bay City Chevrolet, and then with Autolite where she was with the instrumentation department, from which she retired.

She and Elizabeth, her twin, served as caregivers for their parents until their death.  Surviving are a niece, Carolyn Jacoby Willard and husband Dale of Bay City, and a sister-in-law, Lydia Jacoby living in Sebewaing.   Several nieces and nephews also survive

Preceding in death were her brothers, Jacob, Henry and John, Jr, and sisters Elizabeth, Eva Balzer and Rachel Balzer.

The funeral service will take place at two o'clock, Sunday afternoon at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with Rev. Michael S. Allen officiating. Interment will be in Demorest Cemetery.

The family has suggested memorials to the church, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
