Passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth, age 91 years. Erema Scheiwe was born on October 17, 1918 in Appleton, MN to the late Theodore and Clara (Schmidt) Scheiwe.  She was married to Howard Nuechterlein on April 18, 1948 in Frankenmuth, he survives her.  Erema had been employed by Universal Engineering.   She was a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, and an active member of various Church Choirs.  She also sang with the Bavarian Singers.  She was a member of the St. Lorenz Missionary Guild and active in the blanket making for World Relief. 

Surviving besides her husband Howard are; one son, James (Donna) Nuechterlein of Monroe, MI; two grandsons,  Patrick and Joshua McMann of Monroe Michigan; sisters-in-law, Eraine Collins of Frankenmuth, MI and Evelyn Scheiwe of Fort Collins, CO and many nieces and nephews.

Erema was preceded in death by; her brother, Waldemar Scheiwe; 2 sisters, Ada Ziegler and Laverne Boike;  and brothers-in-law, Roy Boike, Kenneth Collins and Waldemar Ziegler.

Funeral services will take place at 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 28, 2010 at the Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St.   Rev.  Joel C. Kaiser will officiate with burial in St. Lorenz Cemetery.  Erema’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 2-6 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church.
