Passed away on Thursday August 26, 2010 at home. Age 85 years. He was born on April 8, 1925 in Chesaning Township, to the late  John and Mary (Vitek) Bila. He married Romayne Elaine Ball on April 23, 1949, she preceded him in death on November 27, 1999. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid polka fan and enjoyed attending dances and visiting with friends. He also enjoyed farming, gardening and playing cards. He was a retired farmer and factory worker.

Surviving are seven children, Frank (Barbara) Bila of Chesaning;  Bill (Judy) Bila of Chesaning, Diane Bila of Chesaning, Mike Bila of Athens Ohio, Mary Jo (Michael)  Tanbusch of Cary, NC., of Fort Myers, Fl., Connie Bila of Lansing, Patty (Dave) Ives of St Charles, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.  One sister, Bessie Harris of New Lothrop, 11 nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents and a brother, John.

Funeral liturgy will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Chesaning. Fr. Ron Dombrowski will officiate  with burial in Resurrection Cemetery Friends may call at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home, Chesaning on Monday  from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Scripture service will be 7:00 p.m. Monday and Knights of Columbus Rosary at 8:00 p.m.www.Wmartinfuneralhome.com
