Survived By: Surviving besides his wife Christine are; 1 son, Jeffery (Debbie) Laux of Frankenmuth; 3 grandchildren, Olivia, Elizabeth “Beezer”, and Erich Laux; 2 sisters, Joanne (Hans) Meier of Naples, FL, Karen (Larry) Henry of Frankenmuth; 1 brother, Dennis (Mary) Laux of Frankenmuth and many nieces and nephews.
Affiliations: Calvin worked for GM for 32 years until his retirement in 2000, and then delivered flowers for the Frankenmuth Florist for a few years. He was a member of Frankenmuth Conservation Club, Canada Creek Ranch and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Went home to be with his Savior on Monday August 30, 2010 after a long battle with leukemia, age 68 years.  Calvin was born on March 29, 1942 in Vassar, MI to the late Erich and Frieda Laux.   He was married to Christine Tusciuk on September 14, 1963 in Frankenmuth, she survives him.  Calvin worked for GM for 32 years until his retirement in 2000, and then delivered flowers for the Frankenmuth Florist for a few years.   He was a member of Frankenmuth Conservation Club, Canada Creek Ranch and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

 

Surviving besides his wife Christine are; 1 son, Jeffery (Debbie) Laux of Frankenmuth; 3 grandchildren, Olivia, Elizabeth “Beezer”, and Erich Laux; 2 sisters, Joanne (Hans) Meier of Naples, FL, Karen (Larry) Henry of Frankenmuth; 1 brother, Dennis (Mary) Laux of Frankenmuth and many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will take place at 10:15 A.M. Friday September 3, 2010 at the Cederberg Funeral Home of Frankenmuth, 590 N. Franklin St. and 11:00 A.M. at St. Lorenz Lutheran Church. Rev. Gary L. Bender will officiate with burial between services in St. Lorenz Cemetery.  Calvin’s family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-8 P.M. and on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Lorenz Lutheran Church, St. Lorenz Girls of Grace or Hospice of Hope.
