Loving grandfather to Kristine (Joel) Bolzman of Freeland, Courtney and Andrew Bedell of Bay City and Aaron, Kayla, Erica and James Hartman of Unionville. Special Great Papa to his great granddaughters Lydia and Madelyn Bolzman of Freeland. Don is survived by Carol Deeg of Unionville, mother of his children and also his siblings, Harold Deeg, Selma Schulz, Walter Deeg, Elsa Volz, Shirley Leiterman, Jerry Deeg and Robert Deeg.
Affiliations: Don was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church of Bach. He had a love for animals, enjoyed wood working and hunting, also farming in earlier years of his life. He was employed with Sebewaing Industries and retired in 2001 after 36 years

Donald Martin Deeg, Sr. age 72, of Sebewaing was called home September 4, 2010 surrounded by his children. Don was born September 10, 1937 to the late Paul and Laura (Schulz) Deeg.

Loving grandfather to Kristine (Joel) Bolzman of Freeland, Courtney and Andrew Bedell of Bay City and Aaron, Kayla, Erica and James Hartman of Unionville.

Don has been preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Fifield in April 2000 and his son-in-law, Jerry M. Lotter, Jr. in March 2010.

 

Visitation for Don will take place Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home in Sebewaing from 11AM-9PM. Funeral Services will take place Wednesday 11AM at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Bach, MI. Burial will take place at St. Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery.

 

Upon family request, memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association.
