Phyllis Theresa Macaulay of Standish, Michigan

Phyllis , age 83, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010 at the Masonic Pathways of Alma, Michigan where she resided after having a stroke. She was born to Allen and Violet (McKee) McCready on October 12, 1926 in Standish. Phyllis married Bruce C. Macaulay on September 20, 1947 who preceded her.

She was a LPN who worked at the Standish Community Hospital and also for Dr. Dolbee and Dr. Gehman’s offices. Phyllis was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in Standish and played the organ there for many years . She was a life member of White Shrine of Jerusalem in Eastern Stars as well as Grand Family member many times. She was Jobs Daughters Past Grand Electa and other State offices. Phyllis painted China and then Ceramics and also worked on elections. She was a life long resident of Standish.

Phyllis is survived by her sons Charles (Debra) and Robert (Patricia) Macaulay , 3 grandsons, Rob, Paul (Amy) and Shawn and 3 great grandchildren, Keith, Chris and Madeline. Many nieces , nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Ralph McCready.

Cremation has taken place per her wishes. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grace Episcopal Church in Standish, Michigan as well as a Eastern Star memorial.
