Daniel Martin Kaller, age 59 of Westland, passed away September 7, 2010 at home. He was born April 25, 1951 in Detroit to Walter and Eileen Kaller.
After graduating from Bishop Foley High School in 1969, Mr. Kaller went to Northern Michigan University earning a Bachelor’s Degree in History in 1973. He later received his Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan in 1984. He worked at the Wayne County Community Health. He was a founding member of the Wayne County CISD and was involved in the Wayne County National Disaster Team. He belonged to the University of Michigan Alumni Association and worked with the Wayne County Firefighters
He is survived by his son, SPC 1st Class Michael A. Kaller; his son’s mother, Chris Kaller; sister, Lianne Kaller; cousins, Bernadette (Bill) Bridenbaugh, Mary Beth Kaller, Joseph Kaller, Regina Lawrence (Larry) Gargus, Gloria Kaller (Joe) Respecki, Donna Jacobson, and Robert Robertson; and his cat, Tigger.
He is preceded in death by his parents; aunt, Mary Steinberger; and cousin, Carol Underwood.
