Survived By: He is survived by his wife Patricia Guiette-Horden; sons Tyrone Horden and Bruce Horden; daughter Tonni Ansay; step-son Tim (Lisa) Guiette; step-daughters Dawn (Tim) Gillette, Nanette Watson and Maurine (Paul) Brusko; grandchildren Derek and Daina; step-grandchildren Andrew, Kylie, Brandon, Corrine, Sarah, Andrew, Tyson and Rachel; and several great-grandchildren. Jack is also survived by his brother Terry Horden and sisters Carol (Clark) Sanders, Pat Corner and Joanne (Jim) McNally, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jack E. Horden, 79 of Midland, passed away Saturday evening, March 16, 2019 at MediLodge of Clare.  He was born March 14, 1940 in Midland, son of the late Leo and Kitte (Welling) Horden. He attended school in Breckenridge, graduating from Breckenridge High School. On August 24, 1996, Jack married the former Patricia (Haskey) Guiette. He worked in the construction industry for many years and retired as a drywall finisher. Jack loved to be outdoors and in the woods. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and picking mushrooms. Jack was an adventurer, always traveling down strange roads he had never been before. As he got older, Jack began to find joy in yard work and helping Pat in the garden.

 

He is survived by his wife Patricia Guiette-Horden; sons Tyrone Horden and Bruce Horden; daughter Tonni Ansay; step-son Tim (Lisa) Guiette; step-daughters Dawn (Tim) Gillette, Nanette Watson and Maurine (Paul) Brusko; grandchildren Derek and Daina; step-grandchildren Andrew, Kylie, Brandon, Corrine, Sarah, Andrew, Tyson and Rachel; and several great-grandchildren. Jack is also survived by his brother Terry Horden and sisters Carol (Clark) Sanders, Pat Corner and Joanne (Jim) McNally, as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law Burr Corner.

 

Memorial services will take place at 11 a.m.  on Friday, March 22, 2019 from Gordonville United Methodist Church; 76 E. Gordonville Rd. Jack’s family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Gordonville United Methodist Church. His family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at MediLodge of Clare and Heartland Hospice for the wonderful care they gave Jack. Rest in peace sweetie.
