Minard, Burt Alan

Charlotte, Michigan (formerly of Frankenmuth)

            Passed away Friday, September 17, 2010 due to injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident, age 48 years.

            Burt was born in Saginaw, Michigan December 9, 1961 the son of James and Vida (Burt) Minard.  He married Laurie DeSander August 7, 1982 and she survives him.  Burt was an Electrician with General Motors for over 18 years.  He loved hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and riding his motorcycle. 

            In addition to his wife and parents, Burt is survived by his daughter, Kristi (Ken) Wolverton, Bridgeport; his son, Kyle Minard, Charlotte; a sister, Rhonda Perri, Spring, Texas; a brother, Robert (Debbie) Minard, Bridgeport; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Oliver and Ernestine DeSander, Frankenmuth and his closest friend, Ed (Marcia) Cramer, Bridgeport, who was like a brother to Burt.

            According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  A memorial service will take place 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at W. L. Case & Company, 5700 Dixie Highway.  Rev. Rick Vogeley will officiate.  Friends may visit with the family at the chapel on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to the family wishes or to a charity of their choice.
