Survived By: Surviving her are one sister, Magdalena Denbow and her three children, Elizabeth Satkowiak of Saginaw, Daniel (Darlene) of ElPaso, Texas, and Miriam (Dennis) Sohn of Holt, Michigan. Also surviving are grandchildren; Miriam (Troy) Cross, Joshua & Nikki Sattelmeier, Sarah (Mark) Johnston, Caleb & Isaac Sattelmeier, Kathryn (Matthew) Couser, Karen (Daniel) Snelling, & Andrew Sohn. She also leaves four great grandsons, Aaron & Noah Cross & Ryan & Michael Couser, and a great granddaughter soon to be born.

Wilma Sattelmeier went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2010. Wilma Magdalena Koehler was born on December 6, 1920 in Bremen, Germany. At the age of 7 she moved with her family to Queens, New York. She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Island. She attended Concordia Teachers College in Seward, Nebraska. She completed her Bachelor’s & Master’s degrees at Western Michigan University. She taught in Lutheran Schools in Taylor & Utica, Michigan.

She married Rev. Ferdinand Sattelmeier on June 22, 1941 at Peace Lutheran Church in Detroit. She will be remembered for her commitment to her Lord Jesus and to His Kingdom. She was dedicated to serving the Lord in a variety of activities. She supported her husband in serving parishes at Christ Lutheran Church in Boyne City, St Peters Lutheran Church in Three Rivers, and St. Peter Lutheran Church in Bach, Michigan. She taught in public Schools in Three Rivers and Sebewaing, eventually becoming the principal in Sebewaing from which she retired.

Rev. Sattelmeier, her husband of 35 years, preceded her in death. Surviving her are one sister, Magdalena Denbow and her three children, Elizabeth Satkowiak of Saginaw, Daniel (Darlene) of ElPaso, Texas, and Miriam (Dennis) Sohn of Holt, Michigan. Also surviving are grandchildren; Miriam (Troy) Cross, Joshua & Nikki Sattelmeier, Sarah (Mark) Johnston, Caleb & Isaac Sattelmeier, Kathryn (Matthew) Couser, Karen (Daniel) Snelling, & Andrew Sohn. She also leaves four great grandsons, Aaron & Noah Cross & Ryan & Michael Couser, and a great granddaughter soon to be born.

Visitation Tuesday, October 19, 2010 from 2pm to 8pm at Juengel & Mellendorf Funeral Home, Sebewaing. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Bach. Visiting at the church will be at 10am until the time of the service at 11am. Burial will take place at St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery, Bach.
