Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Friday, November 19, 2010 at St. Mary’s of Michigan Medical Center. Age 80 years. The son of the late Vito and Magdalene (Watz) Miceli, Anthony was born on April 7, 1930 in Vassar, Michigan. He was married to Mary Jarema on October 20, 1968. She survives him. Anthony served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Disabled American Veterans and Knights of Columbus Council #4232. Anthony was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
Surviving besides his wife Mary are two daughters and two sons, Teri (Dane) Miceli-Bowen, Atlanta, Georgia; Paula (Dale) Harden, Traverse City; Matthew Miceli and his partner, Ken Brunt, Orinda, California; Anthony (Victoria) Miceli, Saginaw; five grandchildren, Rachel, William, Daniel, Sean and Bella; two sisters and one brother, Francis Hennessey, Santa Monica, California; Angela Miceli, Santa Monica, California; Peter Miceli, Marysville, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews. Anthony was preceded in death by his son David Miceli in 1986; a brother, Michael Miceli.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 545 Mapleridge. Rev. Fr. Ronald Dombrowski will officiate. Entombment will follow in St. Andrew Mausoleum with Military Honors rendered by V.F.W. Post #1859. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.
