Floyd “Bud” E. Robinson

 Floyd "Bud" E. Robinson, age 88 years, of Twining, Michigan passed away Tuesday evening, January 11, 2011 at home with his family by his side.  Mr. Robinson was born November 9, 1922 in Omer to the late Edward and Lucy (Williams) Robinson.  He married Estelle “Stella” Tekson on July 4^th, 1945 and she survives him.

Mr. Robinson was an Army veteran serving his country from 1942 – 1945.  He was a Farmer as well as a Road Maintenance Equipment Operator and later a Foreman for the Arenac County Road Commission retiring in 1987 after thirty-five years of dedicated service.  Mr. Robinson was a member of the V.F.W. Post #3724 in Standish and the Disabled American Veterans.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

 Mr. Robinson is survived by his loving wife, Stella; two sons, Floyd (Mary) Robinson, Thomas (Teresa) Robinson; daughter, Dorothy (Warren) Gibbs; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, David (Donna) Robinson; sisters, Gloria Marquardt, Ann (John) Libera, Pauline Caverly, and Flossie Berry; sister-in-law, Sandi Ostrander; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by children, Bruce and Connie Robinson; brother, Albert (Margarite) Robinson, sisters, Eileen (Ed) Kocot, Dorothy Robinson; brothers-in-law, Bill (Joann) Tekson, Fred Walters, Frank (Barb) Walters, Ray McCane, Mick Ostrander, Dean Berry, Al Marquardt, and Alex Caverly; and one grandchild.

 Visitation for Mr. Robinson will take place Friday, January 14, 2011 at the C.L. Forshee & Sons Funeral Homes, Inc., Twining Chapel from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.  Ricky Rockwell will officiate.  Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Omer with graveside services by the V.F.W.
