Christopher Lamont, age 31, of Lansing, MI formerly of Au Gres, MI passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Sparrow Health System in Lansing.

Mr. Lamont was born April 13, 1980 in Tawas City to Randall Lamont and Roberta (Robinson) Lamont.

Mr. Lamont was the chief engineer at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel in Lansing where he recently received a promotion.  Many of his family, friends, and coworkers would refer to him as a work-a-holic.  Mr. Lamont enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family whether it was in the area or “Up North”.  He most enjoyed his special time with his daughter, Bailee, and her brother, Alec Severy.

Mr. Lamont is survived by his daughter, Bailee; father, Randall (Wanda) Lamont of, Au Gres; mother, Roberta Lamont of, Lauderdale by the sea, Florida; brother, Andrew Lamont, of Au Gres; godparents, Heidi (Brad) Dewald of, Au Gres and Kurt Zanner of, Portland, Oregon; grandfather, Louis “Bud” Zanner; grandmother, Rosemary Lamont; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will take place Thurs., April 21^st and Fri., April 22^nd from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the C. L. Forshee & Sons Funeral Homes, Inc., Au Gres Chapel.  Funeral Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 23^rd at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Tim Bender officiating.  Interment will follow in Sims-Whitney Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Randall Lamont to set up a trust in Christopher’s memory.
