Mary May Cline
Prescott, Michigan
MARY MAY CLINE of Prescott; died peacefully after her courageous fight with cancer on May 25, 2011 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw at 74 years of age.
She is survived by her children; Terry (Dave) Tunney of Alger, Bunny (Jeff) Miller of Prescott, Brian (Margaret) Cline of Prescott, Rick (Shelly) Cline of Lupton along with four step children; Anthony, Jack Jr, Patricia and Kimberly Johnson all of Skidway Lake. 12 grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and several step great grandchildren. Siblings; Dolores McAnany of Denver and Walter Bielski of San Francisco. She is preceded in death by her son, Glen Walter Cline and her granddaughter, Rae Clair Cline.
Mary retired as an engineer with Michigan Bell in 1990. She owned and operated Mary’s Kountry Korner from 1977 to 2006. She was a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church and the Ladies Alter Society. A charter member of the Skidway Lake/Prescott Lions Club where she was the secretary for many years, the treasurer of the Skidway Lake Chamber of Commerce. She was very active with Boy Scout Troop 982. Mary was also a member of the SAAC and Beautification Committee, the Ogemaw County EDC Board, the American Legion Auxillary, the Skidway Lake Moose Lodge, Chapter 1672 and treasurer of the Bush Lake Property Owners Association, the Red Hat Society Ladies of the Lake and the Pioneers. Mary was an avid supporter of her community and surrounding communities.
A celebration of Mary’s life and a mass of Christian burial will be held at 12:00 Noon, Monday, May 30, 2011 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 2811 Greenwood in Prescott. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 P.M. and Sunday 2-8 P.M. at the Prescott Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home, 101 Harrison Street, and Monday at church from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service. There will be a rosary service Sunday evening at 7:00 P.M. Interment at the Cline Family Cemetery. Memorial contributions suggested to the family.
